Empowering and developing young people for the future of our community.

La Vida Youth Trust is a charitable organisation based in Riccarton, Christchurch. We provide 24-7 Youth Workers into two local schools, run La Vida After School Programme, a Breakfast Club and the Red Frogs initiative. We are also involved with numerous community initiatives  - such as our annual Community Fun Day!

We aim to contribute to community development by:

Helping young people make positive connections in the community

Challenging anti-social behavior

Advocating for the rights and needs of young people

Promoting greater connection between youth, their families, schools and the community

Providing opportunities for young people to engage in appropriate activities.

We believe in safeguarding a generation! We make it our mission to provide positive peer presence in alcohol and other substance dominated environments! We believe in young people and their potential. We believe young people have value and a purpose! Handing out water to help with hydration opens many doors to have conversations and allows us to encourage young people to make great choices and engage in these environments in safer ways! And we handed out a lot of water!
